Halloween Event Blueprint

They don’t ever see me. I sneak around the room and hide behind curtains like an assassin. I always know exactly where they are and exactly where they are going, but they have no clue how close I am. At the right moment I pop out from behind the curtain and WHAM!

Everyone runs around screaming and running into walls trying to escape what just happened in front of them…

I just scared the crap out of all of their friends and one of them peed their pants.

This is a typical Friday and Saturday night for me here in Michigan. I play a Haunted House Clown named Smiley at a haunted house called The Thirteenth Realm.

What? Did you think I was some sort or serial killer or something?

Halloween here in Michigan is a BIG DEAL. We have pumpkin patches, hot apple cider and cinnamon doughnuts, fall festivals, corn mazes and most importantly HAUNTED HOUSES. Michigan actually has the most haunted houses out of any state in the United States.

Needless to say, Halloween is a huge event here where I live, so it would only make sense that we created an event in my facility to celebrate it.

Here is the Exact Blueprint that we are using in my facility to celebrate Halloween this year.

Step 1 – Make a Facebook event and invite all members to attend. You don’t need to go into specifics about the event to keep it a surprise, however, make sure to give the right amount of info to prepare them for what’s to come and spark interest to attend the event.

Step 2 – Plan the things that you will be doing at your Halloween event. Here is a list of things that we are doing in my facility this year:

-          All staff members are dressing up in costume all day

-          All of the members who come to the gym wearing a costume will get a prize

-          Non-members who come in wearing a costume will get to train for free all day!

-          We designed special Halloween Themed workouts for boot camps and other sessions

-          We made a playlist of Halloween Music to listen to all day at the gym

-          Decorating the gym with tons of Halloween Décor

-          Best Costume Awards and Prizes

-          We are making some healthy Halloween Snacks to pass out to our members and kids who may be Trick-or-Treating that night during boot camps.

-          Goody bags to all members filled with coupons to local businesses and other random cool things.

Step 3 – The night before Halloween, decorate the gym and prep everything for the next day’s activities.

Step 4 – Get your costume on and have fun at your Halloween Event.

I hope this post helps you with planning your Halloween Event for your facility. Make sure to start planning today!

There are only 13 more days until the big day so make sure you don’t let it sneak up on you.

A good Halloween Event can bring in new members and help generate a ton of new referrals amongst members.

Be sure to take a TON of photos from the event to post on Facebook. This will make your facility look really cool and fun. People love to train where people have fun!

What are your plans for your Halloween Event? Please post below. I am dying to see what cool ideas you can come up with!

One of the facilities I have classes at is going all out! Next Friday we’re kicking off club nights with a Halloween party. The gym and studio are being prepped now with club lighting (lasers, accent lighting, fog machines, and glowing vitawater ‘martinis’ (nonalcoholic, of course). We’re having healthy creepy-looking treats, a costume contest, and games throughout the night. I like your idea of having members coming in a costume all day. Thanks for the great tips, Brian!
